Project R2, Summary

Project R2 deals with the imlementation of embedded real-time systems systems on distributed, bus-based target architectures. Implementation proceeds in several phases: Efficient and precise timing analysis computes upper bounds of execution times, which are passed on to schedling and deployment. The timing predictability of embedded systems strongly depends on properties oft he target architecure. The third phse of AVACS will identify architectural principles that make an architecture predictable and develop modular timing-analysis methods for predictable architectures.
